For
the last five years Primrose has diversified its production.
Originally, the diversification was conducted by the need
to find new species for a more sophisticated demand coming
from the local market.
As a first step when we introduce new species, we make sure
that they can grow and adapt to our soil and climate.
We then sell the product locally, and send samples to our
clients in Europe and overseas. In case the production yield
is acceptable, and that our clients find the quality good
enough we then make sure that these species can be transported
by air and truck, in dry boxes or Proconas. If all these conditions
are finally met we make the decision to transform the trial
in a much bigger scale.
We have followed this policy for the last five years. Doing
it we have tried more than 30 different species, but have
only selected 5 that can be produced in a much bigger volume
for export.
